History The Racine Families Association was founded on 10 June 1987, at which time it was incorporated under Part 3 of the Québec Corporate Law as a non-profit organization. Purpose The Association's purpose is to unite all Racine family members, their relatives, and friends in an effort to promote historical research on the genealogy of the family. Its purpose is also to maintain communication, friendship, and fraternity among and between Racine descendants. There are over 100 members in Canada, the USA and France. Activities There is an annual reunion each summer/autumn. The following is a list of past reunions, including the name of the presidents of the organizing committee for each reunion and the Association's President at the time. Casselman Ottawa Two maple sugar gatherings are normally held in March or April, one in Eastern Ontario and the other in the Montéregie area. L'Enraciné L'Enraciné, our newsletter, is published two times a year. It discusses the history and the genealogy of the family and the latest events of the Association and its member activities. Publications The Association has also published many genealogical documents and it has a number of promotional articles in stock.
